Saudi ambassador hails robust ties with Hungary
Budapest (MTI) – The Hungarian government’s eastward-looking foreign policy has paved the way for deepening ties with Saudi Arabia in every field, the Saudi ambassador told daily Magyar Nemzet in an interview published on Saturday.
Bilateral economic relations have improved greatly, Mohammed Abdulhadi Almatrafi said, noting that the volume of trade between Saudi Arabia and Hungary reached 470 million dollars in 2015.
Referring to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy to diversify revenue sources by supporting the private sector and small and medium-sized businesses, as well as increasing the share of renewables and promoting foreign investments, he said it would hopefully draw more Hungarian investments to the country.
