Bratislava Monarchs won the elite league of American football in Hungary, the Hungarian Football League, after they beat the Budapest Wolves to 55-34 in the BVSC stadium on Saturday, origo.hu said.
The team from Bratislava also won in the regular season matches 30-23 and got into the finale undefeated.
In the semifinals, the Monarchs knocked out the Nyiregyhaza Tigers to 44-6. The Wolves had to solve a more difficult task, because they entered the field against the rival Budapest Cowbells in last year’s rematch, conquering the title of the Hungarian Champion.
