The son of the reggae legend Bob Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley will give a concert at Budapest Park on August 30, index.hu reported.
His original name is Damian Robert Nesta Marley, and his first solo album was released in 1996. The music successfully mixed hip-hop, dancehall and reggae. His second album – which was released in 2001 – was on Billboard Top Reggae Album list for 158 weeks and also won his first Grammy Award. The title track of the third album called Welcome to Jamrock was chosen to the 100 best songs of the decade by the Rolling Stone. After that, Marley released a joint album with Nas, and he also sang in a song of Skrillex.
Tickets for the Budapest concert are available from Wednesday. Prices:
