Szijjártó opens science-technology conference at foreign ministry
Budapest, July 12 (MTI) – Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó opened a two-day conference on science and technology, and urged that Hungary’s economy should enter “a new phase based on creativity and intellectual capital”.
In his address to the conference, held at the foreign ministry, Szijjártó said that such an approach would serve as a good basis for economic development in the future, in an age when information technology becomes an integral part of industry.
The minister said that the government considers car manufacturing as a sound basis for economic growth, and the goal was to promote Hungary to foreign car makers as an ideal environment for their research and development activities.
