Hungarian foreign minister about Thailand 7.7 earthquake and Hungarians affected – VIDEO

No Hungarians have been affected by the earthquake in Thailand, according to currently available information, a foreign ministry spokesman said on Friday.
Máté Paczolay said that “a total of 240 Hungarian citizens have registered for consular protection in the area, they have all been contacted by phone or e-mail, and they have all responded that they are all well”.
“Additionally, two Hungarian citizens staying in Thailand have contacted the consular service, and they are also well and have received assistance from our consuls over the phone,” he added.

Staff at the Hungarian representative office in Bangkok had to leave the building for security reasons, but the Hungarian embassy can still be contacted non-stop at +66631911234, and is ready to help all Hungarian citizens in the region, the spokesman said.
Violent 7.7 earthquake rocked Myanmar and Thailand yesterday killing more than 150 people.
