Within weeks, those who would have preferred another form of public transport instead of the long and heavy train journey can be rejoiced, travelo.hu says.
According to the communication of Budapest Airport, a new Croatian startup airline begins to work in Zagreb International Airport on April 2. Budapest will also be the part of Air Croatia’s new flight network. Between Budapest and Zagreb, the airline will operate flights with an ATR 42 type aircraft three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
First, Milan, Rome, Prague and Budapest form the company’s flight network. A 48-seat ATR 42 type plane will fly to the Italian cities on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while to Prague and Budapest on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The flights depart from Zagreb to Budapest at 8 am. and they arrive in an hour, after another hour, they return to the Croatian capital, travel.hu says.
Air Croatia tickets can already be booked on the airline’s website and on a variety of flight-booking sites, for example Skyscanner’s as well.
By comparison, the return air ticket will cost € 80 (HUF 24.000), which cannot compete with the cheapest train ticket costs € 34 (HUF 10.000), but this new alternative can help a lot of passengers, especially who want to travel with flights departing from Budapest.
The first passengers from Budapest will arrive just in time to watch the colorful attractions of the Easter of Zagreb, the giant eggs.
