PHOTOS: The new five-star hotel at Lake Balaton opened

Mövenpick BalaLand Resort Lake Balaton, Hungary’s newest five-star hotel is ready to open its doors to guests, offering spacious apartments with a Caribbean atmosphere, a fabulous panorama of Lake Balaton, a private beach and a year-round BalaLand Familypark with playhouse and wellness centre. The impressive resort is situated in Szántód, between Balatonföldvár and Zamárdi, on the southeastern shore of Lake Balaton.

According to MagyarÉpítők, on 1 March 2023, Mövenpick BalaLand Resort Lake Balaton opened its gates to visitors. “Located right on the shores of Lake Balaton, BalaLand Residence offers something with that only distant countries have tempted so far,” they write on the site.

The hotel resort is part of a more extensive development project, which includes the unique indoor and outdoor family park BalaLand, both built by KÉSZ Construction and Installation Ltd., a member of the KÉSZ Group. The Mövenpick BalaLand Resort Lake Balaton is the first Hungarian property of the international Accor brand. The five-star resort, inspired by Jules Verne’s novel Around the World in 80 Days, is part of a wider development project that includes an indoor and outdoor family park.

Unique facilities in the new five-star hotel at Lake Balaton

Mövenpick BalaLand Resort Lake Balaton offers 109 rooms, including 46 suites. On the fourth floor, there are five spa treatment rooms with three saunas, a steam room, a salt cabin, a fitness room for active relaxation and a couples therapy room.

BalaLand’s family theme park, the FamilyPark, offers 6000 square metres of indoor and even more outdoor space, both indoors and outdoors, for further recreation. Among other things, there is an aquatic amusement park and a children’s adventure park, as well as a variety of attractions and games. There is also a sauna park, a wellness area, a restaurant and buffets.
