These Hungarian hotels received an international recognition
Here is the list of Hungarian hotels awarded with European recognition of the sector in 2021, thus making them even more appealing destinations.
The Hotelstars Union was created in 2009 under the patronage of HOTREC, the umbrella association of hotels, restaurants, and cafés in Europe. Apart from the seven founder Hotel and Restaurant Associations of the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden, the Union has ten further members.
It creates transparency and security for the guests, making it easier to choose the best place to stay.
The Hungarian Hotel & Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ) published in their latest newsletter the list of those accommodations that were awarded a Hotelstars qualification in the country in 2021, writes turizmus.com.
Starting from January 2022, all hotels and accommodations in Hungary will be gradually verified.
It is thanks to the cooperation agreement between the MSZÉSZ, the Hotelstars Union and the Hungarian Syndicate of Quality Certificate of Tourism (MTMT). The aim is to continue the internationally known and recognised Hotelstars qualification programme, based on the established criteria.

The agreement creates an obligation for the country to verify the quality of all accommodations in Hungary, let it be a hotel or a guest house. The process will be carried out by the MTMT and has already started on July 1, 2021.
Receiving the qualification for the first time will impose no costs on the accommodation. Those places that already possess a Hotelstars rank will be able to use it until its expiration date.
The obligatory classification aims to provide an authentic and trustworthy quality to guests and to make it easier to compare the different options.
