They are the most popular Hungarian opposition party politicians – Would they defeat the Orbán government?
Recently, statistics revealing the most popular Hungarian opposition party politicians have been released. The main questions are: why are they so popular, and will they be able to set up a program that is popular and acceptable among citizens and could beat the current Orbán government in 2022?
SZMO reported that the most well-known Hungarian opposition party politician is Gergely Karácsony, the Lord Mayor of Budapest. In a recent exclusive interview made by Daily News Hungary, Karácsony stated that there is an agreement about one opposition candidate against the candidate of the government parties in the constituencies. That is an important baseline. Furthermore, the opposition parties started to write their program, which will enable them to present their offer to the citizens, together with the V4 mayors. It is not enough to say that they are not Fidesz.

Although Karácsony is the most well-known opposition party politician, he is just the second on the list as the first place is taken by Péter Márki-Zay, the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely.
Péter Márki-Zay became the newly elected mayor of Hódmezővásárhely, in south-eastern Hungary, and opposition parties hailed the over-62 per cent turnout at Sunday’s interim election in the city back in February 2018. Speaking to a press conference after the election in which he snatched victory from the ruling Fidesz-Christian-Democrat alliance as an independent candidate, Márki-Zay thanked all voters who cast a ballot, regardless of whom they supported.
Other politicians popular among Hungarians include Bernadett Szél, Péter Jakab, Ákos Hadházy, Klára Dobrev, and Anna Donáth.
In March 2020, data was revealed about Hungarian politicians’ popularity along with a ranking about who the favourites of Hungarian citizens are. It was a general fact that the politicians of the Fidesz Party are more popular than others, as more Fidesz voters answered the survey than the supporters of other parties.

Fidesz isn’t going anywhere. Orban and his party will win again in the next election. Why? Because the other parties offer nothing but tired old policies and whiny temper tantrums because they don’t get their way.
Theses lapdogs of Soros should ask their Daddy George for some Cheese to go along with their Whine.
