This is how Hungary thanks healthcare workers’ devotion to the cause
Now that the COVID-19 epidemic is more and more severe, healthcare workers are burdened with a very difficult and nonetheless dangerous task. People in many countries have started to come up with crazy ideas to show their respect and wish the best for these everyday heroes. In this article, you can see two examples from Hungary.
The white ‘coat’ of the Chain Bridge
The Mayor of Budapest announced in a video on his Facebook page that in honour of the healthcare workers who – with their tireless work – help fight the coronavirus pandemic, the Chain Bridge has been enveloped in white lights since Friday night, 24 reported.
Gergely Karácsony, the Mayor of Budapest, thanked the tireless work of those in healthcare in his video:
“As a small gesture, from Friday night on, the Chain Bridge shall wear the colour of the cape of doctors and nurses. White is also a symbol of renewal, the potential to create a world where those people who save lives will be respected and honoured more, even after the end of this crisis.
We tend to forget how important those people are who work in healthcare, but this pandemic has reminded us of the true magnitude of their significance.
The whole city, and the whole country, is cheering for doctors, nurses, and those who help their work as one so that we might overcome this epidemic.”
You can see more beautiful images towards the end of the video.
A pilot ‘drew’ a giant thumbs up on the sky
Hvg pointed out that Magnus Aircraft, a Hungarian company that develops instructor and sports aircraft, has also joined the list of those who express their gratitude and respect for healthcare workers who help fight the coronavirus epidemic.
While conducting the test-flight of the company’s new electric aircraft, the Magnus Fusion, the company’s pilot ‘drew’ a giant thumbs up symbol in the sky with a cross at its wrist symbolising healthcare.
He did not use smoke, but the GPS signal of the flight course is what looks exactly like a giant hand over Hungary. The pilot of Magnus Aircraft had flown over a significant area of southwestern Hungary in order to create the shape.
According to AIRportal, the pilot of Magnus Aircraft successfully conducted the flight not long after 2 pm over Southwest-Hungary and that their course was recorded by Flightradar. If you are interested in similar articles, we recommend you read the following articles:
