This spectacular fountain is a rarity throughout Europe – PHOTOS, VIDEO

Last week, Nyíregyháza was enriched with a special attraction. The new musical fountain has a water surface of nearly 500 square metres, and the themed water and light shows are accompanied by music of all varieties.

The new attraction of Sóstó Medicinal Bath in Nyíregyháza was built in a completely renovated area in front of the adventure pool, writes Hello Magyar. The trial run of the unique musical fountain started on 22 October, and the themed water and light shows will take place every hour between 11 am and 9:30 pm.

Tourism development

This investment is part of a new complex tourism development for which the local government of Nyíregyháza received an EU subsidy of HUF 1.4 billion (~EUR 2,737,568). The other fountains in front of the entrance of Lake Bath have also been renovated within the framework of the large-scale project. According to Travelo, these fountains will be connected by a new longitudinal bubbler.

The central park and the area in front of the water tower will also be renewed.

The parking area and promenade in front of the Swiss House will be re-paved, and a new parking lot will be built in front of Hunguest Hotel Sóstó. A bicycle rental and service point and three automatic public toilets will be installed in the area of the medicinal bath. In addition to these developments, a trampoline park will be built in the playground in front of Szódaház Street and the playground at Blaha Lujza promenade.
