Showcasing the best local chefs and restaurateurs alongside a vibrant line-up of music, performances, and family-friendly programmes, the Market is fast becoming a popular hub for food and culture in Budapest.
Today, Time Out Market Budapest is revealing the cultural experiences scheduled for the month of October, demonstrating how there are always a variety of reasons to come and visit – for families, friends or solo.
Time Out Market brings the best of the city – and beyond – together under one roof: a curated mix of the best chefs and restaurateurs, drinks and cultural experiences. What started in 2014 with the opening of Time Out Market Lisbon has turned into a global phenomenon: Time Out Market Budapest is one of 13 sites globally, following in the footsteps of major cities around the world such as New York, Montreal, Dubai, Osaka, Cape Town and more.
Across 27,000 sq ft, Time Out Market Budapest offers food from eleven local award-winning and rising culinary talents, three bars, five event spaces and around 540 seats. Guests – whether they come with family, friends or on their own – get to enjoy a variety of food options while coming together around communal tables, surrounded by open kitchens and a uniquely designed space.

The Time Out Market experience
The highlight of Time Out Market Budapest is undoubtedly its food and drinks, but the experience goes far beyond dining. With five event spaces, the Market hosts live music, jazz nights, Budapest’s top DJs, wine tastings, workshops, and surprise performances – and most of these are free of charge. Every moment is an experience: it might be a jazz band setting the tone for dinner, a winemaker guiding a tasting, or a pop-up art exhibition tucked into a corner. The Market is a place of connection, conversation, and community: where strangers become friends over a shared plate, and every meal feels like a celebration.
“Budapest’s cultural scene is as vibrant as its food scene, and Time Out Market Budapest offers an exciting cultural programme with concerts, performances, and activities that spotlight local talent throughout the week. Every Monday, guests are treated to live piano evenings organised by the Hungarian Bar Pianists’ Association and Roland Piano.
On Tuesdays, the stage comes alive with jazz concerts, while Saturdays feature vibrant DJ performances — both organised by Jazzpiknik. On Wednesdays, guests can enjoy more intimate performances, while Fridays are all about DJ sets curated by Banana Records.
Thursdays bring energetic sets from the Budai House Clique and other key figures from Hungary’s electronic music scene – setting the perfect mood for the evening. Sundays are dedicated to families with a fun-filled programme for kids. Each month, a major concert will headline the schedule, adding an extra highlight to the diverse lineup.

Mondays 5-9pm – The Piano Hour
Every Monday from 5pm to 9pm, guests can enjoy live piano music and a glass of wine in the heart of Corvin Palace. Gyula Nyári, pianist and president of the Hungarian Bar Pianists’ Association, is one of the key representatives of the Hungarian bar piano tradition, known for his elegant playing and wide repertoire that bridges the golden age of bar music with a fresh, contemporary spirit.
Tuesdays 6-9pm – Jazz & Wine by Jazzpiknik
Every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm, jazz and wine take the spotlight at Time Out Market Budapest. The stage will feature diverse and exciting acts from the Hungarian jazz scene, while guests can enjoy special wine tastings and a selection of Hungary’s finest wines, curated by Wines of Hungary. The organizers of Paloznaki Jazzpiknik bring the signature Balaton festival vibe into the heart of the city: from intimate duos to dynamic trios, all in the vibrant atmosphere of Time Out Market Budapest.

Banana Records record label and Time Out Market Budapest come together to create evenings where music, gastronomy, and cocktails merge into a single unforgettable experience. Banana Records is known for supporting fresh talent and shaping Budapest’s underground scene, while Time Out Market Budapest is home to the city’s top chefs and bartenders – creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable Wednesday.
Thursdays 7-10pm – Chef’s Kiss by Budai House Clique
Every Thursday from 7pm to 10pm, Budai House Clique brings the world of afro and melodic house to the Time Out Market main hall with energetic yet refined sets, always building on their close connection with the audience. Budapest’s first duo focusing on Afro House, joined by rising talents of the Hungarian electronic music scene at Corvin Palace. Expect deep rhythms, hypnotic grooves, and a unique energy that will turn Thursday into the new Friday at Time Out Market Budapest.
Fridays 7-10pm – Night Out by Banana Records
At Banana Records, the visual and sonic worlds meet: every beat, like every photograph, becomes a canvas painted with emotions, stitching past to present and weaving the ordinary into life’s rich tapestry. This time, together with Time Out Market Budapest, they are creating a vibrant night where music, gastronomy, and cocktails come together in perfect harmony. Guests can expect DJ sets that keep the energy high all night long, with an ever-changing lineup of some of the city’s most exciting talents – from house to pop music – ensuring fresh vibes every week.
Saturdays 7-10pm – Saturday Sparkle by Jazzpiknik
Every Saturday from 7pm to 10pm, high-quality electronic music takes over Time Out Market Budapest. Jazzpiknik once again shows its versatile side: this time blending house, funk, and electronic beats with the sparkle of champagne. The perfect way to kick off the weekend – best enjoyed with bubbles! The organizers of Paloznaki Jazzpiknik – the iconic Balaton festival that brings international stars and Hungarian favorites to the stage each summer – now create Saturday night magic in the heart of the capital. With carefully selected performers – Dr Geb, DJ Lleo, SaxoDJ and many more – there will be a fusion of groove, improvisation, and electronic flair that brings the festival’s unique spirit to Budapest.
Sundays 11.30am-3.30pm – Family Sunday Funday
Every Sunday 11:30am to 3:30pm, it’s all about laughter, play, and family time at Time Out Market Budapest! Think colorful craft workshops, fun games, music, dancing, and plenty of giggles – all with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and awesome animators leading the fun for kids.
Monthly special events this October
4-11 October 2025: HB Bavarian Beerfest by Time Out Market Budapest x Dreher
From October 4–11, there will be 7,500 liters of freshly poured Time Out Market Budapest Oktoberfestbier, brewed by Dreher exclusively for Time Out Market Budapest, following the original recipe. Each evening, performers will take the stage at the Market, creating an unforgettable Bavarian celebration atmosphere. Free entry during the entire event.
7-28 October 2025: Olaszrizling October by Wines of Hungary
This fall, Time Out Market Budapest, in collaboration with Wines of Hungary, celebrates one of Hungary’s most exciting grape varieties – Olaszrizling – with a special wine tasting series. Every Tuesday evening, the tastings are accompanied by live jazz music, evoking the Jazz & Wine atmosphere, while invited winemakers present their own selections at the Magyar Bor bar on the Tasting Table.
