Tour de Hongrie to get underway on May 10 with star line-up

The world’s top sprinters will compete in the Tour de Hongrie cycling race between May 10 and 14, the event’s chief organiser said in Kaposvár on Wednesday.

Károly Eisenkrammer told a press conference that Italy’s Elia Viviani, who won the Giro d’Italia race in 2018, will be among top cyclists competing.

He attributed the event’s star power to the cooperation of Hungary’s cities and public road operators, the police and sponsors, thanks to which the 44th Hungarian circuit is part of the ProSeries of the UCI international confederation.

The team presentation of the 879km race, with the participation of 22 teams, will start out on May 9 from Keszthely.
