Tragedy in Rákoscsaba! Former doctor shots his mother and himself
The Hungarian man from Rákoscsaba shot his mother and then committed suicide. Neighbours say they were a decent family, but the man has been struggling a lot recently. He used to work as a veterinarian but now barely left his home anymore.
Sunday, in the early evening, a tragedy took place in a quiet street of Rákoscsaba. A man killed his mother with a shotgun and then ended his own life too. The grandchild who lives next door found the bodies. According to Blikk, the man, Attila P., used to work as a veterinarian, but he has been having a hard time since his father’s death at the end of the year.
When the police arrived, the man’s body was in the garden, with the gunshot next to it. The police initiated an investigation of homicide.
According to the neighbours, they were a decent, quiet family
One of the neighbours told the newspaper: “I talked to Attila a couple of times, he told me a lot about his original profession. He had his own practice in the city, and I also know that both he and his father were great hunters. But recently, since his father died, he has not been going out anywhere but stayed home all the time.”
The neighbour from across the street said: „I am still in shock because of the accident. I was born here, and I have known the family since they moved here. It was like 30 years ago. They moved from the city and on the double property where they already had a small summer house, they built a nice storey house. The grandparents stayed in the wooden house, where the shooting happened.”
The neighbour says Attila must have lost control and killed his mother and then himself because of the series of tragedies he had to face: “The family has been doing well for a while, but then his wife left the man, so he moved back to his parents to the wooden house. He had to face another hardship in March when his 93-years-old father died after a long illness. His mother was 91-years-old, she used to come outside to the garden, but I have not been seeing her a lot recently.”
“It was a completely ordinary family that lived in peace. One could hear no arguments or loud voices coming from their house. I met them a week ago, we talked a little bit too, and there was no sign of any bigger issues.”
The neighbour from across the street, however, mentioned one weird thing. Even though shotguns are supposed to be loud, they did not hear the shots. Later, it also turned out that the man had legal permission for owning the gunshot.
