Two Hungarians on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Europe list
Budapest (MTI) – Two Hungarians have been included in US business magazine Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Europe List which shows 300 of Europe’s top young leaders, creative inventors and entrepreneurs in 10 different sectors.
Director-producer Andras S Takacs has been selected in the media category. He is the director of the On the Spot documentary series which he has worked on with his wife Eszter Cseke for the past seven years.
According to their website, On The Spot examines “human stories behind the news … giving the films extraordinary intimacy and honesty from the revolution in Egypt to earth quakes in Japan.”
The Forbes website noted that Takacs and Cseke shoot all of their work with only two small cameras without a crew. Takacs also possesses a Golden Nymph award for best documentary at the Monte Carlo TV Festival.
Programmer Istvan Lam was selected in the Technology category. He is the co-founded and CEO of Tresorit, which is “essentially an ultra-secure version of Dropbox” that is based in Hungary and Switzerland, Forbes said. He founded Tresorit when he was 22 and co-invented Tresorit’s patented sharable encryption.
