US ambassador in Hungary rebuked PM Orbán

As we reported yesterday, PM Viktor Orbán shared former US president Donald Trump’s message about how US-Hungary relations will develop, if he becomes president again in 2024. The Biden-appointed US ambassador in Budapest, David Pressman, reacted to Orbán’s tweet.

A month ago, Fox News published an article quoting Orbán. In it, the Hungarian Prime Minister talked about how another Trump presidency could bring Hungarian-American relations back to the best level ever. The paper reached Trump, who wrote “Victor, so true!”. The Hungarian PM boasted about it yesterday and added that it’s always good to hear from Trump.

US Ambassador in Budapest, David Pressman, reacted to the Hungarian prime minister’s tweet hours later. He rebuked Orbán, saying that now is the time to boost the Hungary-US relationship since there is a war in Ukraine and Hungary faces economic challenges. Orbán has not responded yet and probably will not. One of his ministers or secretaries might share the government’s opinion about Ambassador Pressman’s thoughts later today.

  2. Pressman’s comments should not be taken seriously. It was expected, after all, Pressman is Biden’s puppet. the Biden Administration does not respect other country’s sovereignty. Newest example, Saudi Arabia is not playing ball with Biden, the Biden Administration threatened Saudi Arabia.
