The Valley of Arts festival, Hungary’s largest all-arts festival held in three villages north of Lake Balaton between July 21 and 30, will feature some 500 performances spanning literature, theatre and music, organisers said on Tuesday.
The festival will continue its tradition of producing its own play, this year featuring Andrea Szulák, János Szemenyei and Csaba Jantyik in Goldoni’s Mirandolina, they said.
Other theatrical productions will include performances by Art-Színtér, Játékszín, the Csiky Gergely Theatre of Kaposvár and the Nézőművészeti Kft.
Vigántpetend will have a stage dedicated to circus arts, featuring Recirquel and other performers. The same stage will be home to dance performances and concerts by Zorán, László Dés, the Danubia Orchestra and others.
