VIDEO: Terrifying motorcycle crash in Budapest
On the morning of 3 June, an inattentive motorist hit a motorcyclist in Budapest, at the Pest end of the Margaret Bridge. The incident was recorded by the on-board camera of the car behind the at-fault car.
“The motorcyclist stopped at the red light, the motorist was staring to the right as he was driving and almost struck the motorcyclist full in the back. Unfortunately, there was still backflip,” the video’s submitter wrote to bpiautosok.hu.
Thankfully, the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. After the fall, several people immediately went to help him, including the at-fault driver, who did not immediately leave the scene.
“The majority of accidents are caused by a serious breach of the rules, but there are also cases where a minor mistake, a one-second lapse of attention, has caused a tragedy, so please always drive with extreme caution and care,” the police reminded road users in an earlier statement.
You can watch the video of the accident below. The actual footage starts at 00:17.
