Videoton FC: a Videoton city will be created with the new stadium
According to nemzetisport.hu, the demolition works start on December 14, the new, 14-thousand-seat Sosto stadium is expected to be completed by summer 2017 – the website of Videoton soccer team announced.
“An all-new, multi-functional facility will be created, which meets the requirements of the 21st century in every aspect, and a Videoton city is planned to be built within the city – vidi.hu recalled Andras Cser-Palkovics, Mayor of Szekesfehervar. – It is important that also the adjacent areas will be renewed, parking lots and roads will be built. Legally speaking, the rebuilding of the stadium and the rehabilitation of Sosto happens separately, but it is actually done together, so a magnificent, new district will be born”.
It was said on Thursday’s supporter’s forum that the new, 14 144-seat facility can be finished by summer 2017.
“While the training sessions of all age groups, including the adult team’s, remain in Szekesfehervar, the championships and the cup matches will be organized in Felcsut”- Attila Balogh, CEO of Videoton FC said.
