Visegrad Four stand to present over 30 programmes at Budapest International Book Festival
Budapest (MTI) – More than 30 programmes including round-table discussions, book releases and book signing events will be held at the stand of the Visegrad Four group, the guest of honour countries at this year’s Budapest International Book Festival and Fair, on April 20-23.
The V4 stand in the Millenaris centre will present the Hungarian editions of nine Czech, seven Polish and five Slovak titles including Pawel Lisicki’s Jihad and the Suicide of the West, Agnieszka Kolakowska’s Wars of Cultures and Petr Stancik’s thriller Mummy Mill.
On the opening day, children’s books in the V4 countries and the anthology of 19th-century Czech poets will be featured.
On Friday, a round-table discussion will be held with EU literary award holders Jan Nemec, Svetlana Zuchova and Claudiu M Florian.
New authors from the four Visegrad countries will present their first titles at the European Debut Writers’ mini festival on Saturday.
