Hungarian World Champion Dudás could have been murdered in Budapest: new investigation began
Hungarian World Champion Miklós Dudás’s body was discovered by his partner, model-influencer Ivett Szigligeti, in their flat in Budapest’s 18th district on Monday. At first, police ruled out foul play and launched an administrative inquiry into the tragedy’s circumstances. That stance shifted dramatically following yesterday’s post-mortem results.
Olympian dies aged 34
Family, friends, fellow athletes, and admirers stand baffled before Miklós Dudás’s sudden death. The 34-year-old Olympian and canoeing legend was found dead in his Budapest home the day before last. Neighbours perked up when Ivett was heard calling out loudly after summoning a locksmith to force open the door. She and Miklós’s mother, Klári, had rushed there because they hadn’t heard from him for days.

The sportsman’s final, heartwarming Facebook post was dedicated to him.
His father was practically killed by boxers
The ever-smiling Dudás on camera suffered a shattering trauma two years ago. His father was beaten into a coma by six boxers at a petrol station. His body gave out in February last year—a devastating rupture in the Olympian’s life. Compounding the grief, his mother sank into depression. According to his coach, who guided the Sztárbox finalist to the end, Dudás turned inward, admitting few into the depths of his soul.

According to 24.hu, the injuries on the deceased point to a mechanism demanding criminal scrutiny. Officers have opened a probe for grievous bodily harm resulting in death against an unknown perpetrator to establish how those wounds were inflicted.
