World Water Day in Budapest baths
Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu writes that the 20th of March marks World Water Day and on this occasion the famous baths of Budapest will be welcoming visitors of all ages with a wide range of invigorating programmes. Visitors can choose from different style cultural programmes: concerts, DJ-s, belly dance show, contemporary dance show and even traditional gypsy music.
In accordance with the traditions there are going to be free tours in our historical baths. The tours will be followed by “water quizzes” and, if you get the answers right, you might even win a couple’s ticket to the baths.
The Four Bones Trombone Quartet will bring refreshing sounds to one of the biggest bath complexes in Europe, the Széchenyi bath. The young musicians will take bathers into the world of jazz and movie soundtracks. There’s also going to be a market in the theme of beauty and health, where you can try out games, get discounts and free consultation.
You can enjoy the concert of the Presto Chamber Orchestra in the unique secession decoration of the Gellért Thermal Bath and Swimming Pool. This will be followed by a contemporary dance show on land and also in water during the afternoon.
Carl Oh and Tomanek are the real music magicians of the Budapest nights. They frequently appear in the most unexpected places, and on the 20th march they’ll be at Lukács Thermal Bath and Swimming Pool. They will amaze you with their love for music on this occasion as well. They’ll introduce visitors to the best songs of their Afro-Cuban, Latin, Caribbean and Brazil records.
Király Thermal Bath welcomes its visitors with a belly dance performance, which suits the bath’s atmosphere very well. Mirjam Szőke, the queen of Miss Bellydance Hungary, and Midnight Diamonds will take care of the good mood.
The artists of Roma Classic will be performing three times in the less known Dandár Thermal Bath, while the lovers of saunas can take part in exciting séances. You can also compete in a swimming competition in six categories in Csillaghegy Bath.
You can get the chance to try 30 minute long aroma relax and deep nourishing massages with a 20% discount in the more than 500 years old Rudas Thermal Bath, while the visitors of Dagály Bath can enjoy massages with a 30% discount.
