Excursion to the highest point of Hungary

If you want to go on a trip in Hungary, the Mátra is one of the best choices. The highest point of the country, the 1,024-metre-high Kékestető, is located in the Mátra Mountains. The lake artificially created in the 1970s is the second-largest lake in Hungary. Animals and the flora and fauna can be observed from sitting in a canoe. It is worth visiting the Lake Tisza Ecocentre where an entertaining interactive exhibition of 2,600 square metres awaits visitors.

The Alcsút Arboretum is not far from Budapest. You can admire rare plants every day of the year.
