360 degree video clip by Ákos, a Hungarian performer
Travel to virtual reality with Ákos’ new video clip called ‘Még egyszer’ (‘Once again’)! This is Hungary’s first 360 degree video clip which is spectacular on a normal screen but most enjoyable through Samsung’s virtual glasses. Thanks to the special technology you’ll feel like you are part of the video.
Ákos is a famous Hungarian singer, songwriter, poet who has been awarded with the Kossuth Prize which is the most prestigious cultural award in Hungary. He’s been present in the Hungarian music industry for almost 30 years. ‘Még egyszer’ is also the title of his 18th album. His special video clip aired a few weeks ago.
The video clip presents the last two decades of his work showing his emblematic outfits worn on concerts. It was made in cooperation with Samsung Electronics Magyar Zrt. using a 360 degree camera technique. When watching the video clip, you can change your point if view by pressing the mouse button and moving it around. You are the one rotating the angles so you can see everyone in the band. It’s actually like you are in the video with them.
“The video clip comes alive in the virtual reality and we find ourselves in the middle of an episode. Innovative techniques have always attracted me and I always thought of development in what I do as a motivation. With our cooperation with Samsung we were able to try out a completely new technique. The hardest part of the shooting was when I had to sing under water tied to a metal panel. I have done crazy things for videos; I hope the audience will confirm my hopes. We want the new album and the video clip to be a special experience.” said Ákos.
“Innovation, breath-taking scenery and our commitment to quality is what inspired our collaboration and the video clip. Samsung wants to give every-day experiences with its innovations. We think that this new video clip will be unforgettable for Ákos’ fans, quality music and spectacle lovers.” said Orsolya Nyilas, the PR manager of Samsung Electronics Magyar Zrt.
The Samsung Gear VR virtual reality glasses complete the 360 degree experience. You can try them out and watch the video clip in Samsung Experience Stores.
