The Selfie-Taker Statues Have Appeared in Budapest
Daniel Bodo shows Budapest’s bronze figures in a special way, szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reports.
Selfie-taker statues? Yes, selfie-taker statues! The idea occurred to a talented amateur young man of taking pictures of statues that looks like they are taking pictures of themselves. He put the outcome on his Facebook page, Budapest Szobrai( Statues of Budapest), it is already a great success. Daniel aims to acquaint the background of these work of arts by these photos.

The young man- who is qualified as art historian- got this idea that comes from an Irish gallery where special pictures of copies of antique work of arts were made. (these work of arts are originally exhibited in the Vatican). But there is one way in which Irish and Hungarian selfies differ: Daniel tried to pick out statues with extending hands, making selfies look more realistic.
What is more, they even talk to each other on Facebook! For example, the Opera Sphinx commented on the Spring sculpture (Deák Square)’s photo. Daniel encourages every amateur to follow his example: take as much statue selfies as you can and post them on Facebook.
