Press release – Until today, all we knew about the scandal related to the late Ghaith Pharaon, an individual charged with a list of crimes including aiding illegal migration, financing terrorist organizations and trafficking nuclear technology, was that several ministers of the Orbán government were affected. Based on Mihály Varga’s (Minister of National Economy) proposal, Pharaon’s companies enjoyed billions of HUF in tax breaks in their castle renovation projects conducted in Hungary.

János Lázár, the minister supervising the intelligence services failed to find out that this individual was wanted on account of a long list of crimes. Minister of Interior Sándor Pintér failed to take any steps to arrest this wanted person while Pharaon was staying in Hungary. The Hungarian National Trading House, supervised by Péter Szíjjártó (Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade), operated a joint venture with him. Viktor Orbán himself had business relations with him through his family. The list of crimes committed by the Orbán government has just been extended since it is revealed that this internationally wanted individual requested a Hungarian visa just to meet Viktor Orbán personally.

  1. In Jobbic’s view, these are very serious charges!!!!??? Where has the media got all this trumped up information from? What legal grounds has Jobbic to accuse members of the government on these jumped up charges, allegations? It seems Jobbic could be heading for serious trouble making allegations like this, after members of the government have already denied having dealings with this Pharaon chappy. Lay off media and Jobbic. Let the gvernment do it’s job.
