New innovation centre to open in Hungary

IBM has opened a special innovations centre in Andrássy Boulevard in Budapest, Forbes.hu reports. This means a great recognition for the former Ustream Team.

IBM purchased Ustream, the Hungarian online video platform service company last year. Ustream’s co-founder and technical manager Gyula Fehér is now leading the development and operation department of the unit. The former Ustream office received the “IBM lab” status, which is a particularly great recognition for the team. They have opened their new developments centre to come up with new technologies for IBM Cloud Video, Forbes.hu writes.

The primary objective of the centre is, cooperating with IBM units, to create cognitive solutions that will help clients to gain even more information and data from video contents. According to Forbes.hu, the cloud based online video segment will be a market of 105 billions of dollars by 2019.

IBM has connected its cloud based video services with Watson and other cognitive technologies in the recent years, to provide services which automatically divide videos based on the interpretation of their contents, and immediately send feedback about the reactions in the social media about a live broadcast.

Gyula Fehér told Forbes.hu that the video based content management is a rapidly growing area among services, and is used more frequently for the strengthening of communication at workplaces, or towards consumers.
