Free wifi network in Budapest subway?
Russian MaximaTelecom plans to build a free wifi network in the Budapest subway said the co-owner of the company, Sergei Aslanijan to Russian Business Daily Vedomosti.
The company operating a similar network in Moscow and St. Petersburg and at ten airports in Russia; the owner of the company had previously made similar comments regarding the New York subway, but did not provide any information about how the plan was to be implemented.
An expert preferred to remain anonymous was surprised by MaximaTelecom’s expansion plan in Hungary. He pointed out that the company should start everything from zero in Budapest, including obtaining licensing and documentation while significant transnational service providers already present on the Hungarian market.
Budapest metro did not respond to Vedomosti’s request for information about the rumor.
