Hungarian film Kincsem huge success in the USA too

Szeretlek Magyarország reports that Gábor Herendi’s film, Kincsem won several awards at the Wine Country Film Festival in California. The film was awarded as the Best International Film, as the movie with the Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay.

The Wine Country Film Festival took place a couple days ago in California, where Gábor Herendi’s film, Kincsem, cashed in three awards.

It was awarded as the Best International Film, Péter Szatmári’s work was awarded as the Best Cinematography, while the joint effort of Gábor Herendi and Bálint Hegedűs was recognised as the Best Screenplay.

It was the 31^st occasion on which the festival was organised, screening 50 films, among them Kincsem. This was also Kincsem’s international debut. Over 444,000 spectators watched Kincsem in Hungary, thus becoming the most successful Hungarian film of the last decade.
