Hungarian army rescues people and property
The circumstances on most of the roads remain wintry, especially around Motorway M43, M5 and M6. The lines between Nagykanizsa and Nyíregyháza are also difficult to drive on, as Index.hu reported. The sudden change in the weather causes many difficulties in Hungary.
In Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, two roads are impassable: the one between Gesztely and Újharangod and the one between Vimány and Fony. Half of the road is passable between Taktaharkány and Újharangod, Mezőnagymihály and Gelej, Köröm and Tiszalúc.

The Ministry of National Defense announced Sunday evening that national defence forces also participate in the management of the critical situation. The Hungarian army provides help at seven locations in order to rescue people and property. More than 100 soldiers and 37 pieces of technological equipment are involved in the rescue missions. Seeker helicopters and the army’s armoured units are also alerted.
The army has sent 8 groups from their outpost in Debrecen to help civilians in need in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg with their wheeled and tracked vehicles.
