Faludy Fanni has broken down
The hvg.hu said that Faludy György’s widow, Faludy Fanni , wanted to create a museum which commemorates his spouse; however, she had broken down financially and now, she lives in a panel flat with the heritage of his husband.
Faludy György had passed away in the age of 96 and his widow wanted to create a Faludy memorial museum; therefore, the heritage which was left from Faludy György was stored in a premises in 9th district which was in a bad condition. However, it was renovated for 12 million forints which was taken from the Faludy Foundation’s account- said the Blikk.
After the renovation, the widow had piled up 9,5 million forints debt from the premises’ monthly rent and the utility fees. The government hadn’t ignored her debts, therefore, she had broken down financially and she had to leave the premises with the heritage, too.
Thus, the widow is now living in a 40 m2 panel flat with the heritage of Faludy György. This includes the writer’s last manuscripts, some of the books from his library (which otherwise was left to the state), his special memory items, furniture and clothes.
