Excessive heatwave to settle in Hungary

While extreme heat has already built Western Europe, hot conditions will continue to expand across Eastern Europe this week. We have to deal with oppressive temperatures, as Hungary might see one of its hottest conditions of this year’s summer, hvg.hu reported.

We’re having quite a heatwave, as temperatures will gradually rise throughout the week across Hungary. The temperature is expected to peak during the weekend by hitting 34 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Today, even initially cloudy areas are expected to clear up by the afternoon. The temperature is supposed to climb as high as 25 and 29 degrees Celsius. In the areas to the east of Danube River and in Alpokalja, rain showers may also occur. The low temperature during night will not fall below 17 degrees Celsius, says meteorological service OMSZ.

On Wednesday, blue sky and sunny weather are expected throughout the day, with no rain in the forecasts for the rest of the week. The maximum temperature is expected to hit 28-30 degrees Celsius in more and more areas, says meteorological website idokep.hu
