The Budapest Transport Center is working on a social car-sharing system. The transport company’s website asks information from market players to start the service, origo.hu said.
Its purpose to assess the BKK the system needs of the still-emerging, monthly fee-based car rental service (carsharing) with involvement of potential suppliers. Then, the center initiates a personal consultation with those who filled it in, where BKK examines the possibilities and conditions of the future cooperation.
In the questionnaire, BKK also asks whether the provider has electric cars and whether there are “half-size”, 1-2 personal cars in the fleet. The point of the system is that in return for rental fee, cars can be rented throughout the city and then can be given back after use.
