Daily News Hungary has compiled many articles about the best places to have coffee in the capital. In this unbearable heat, we thought it would be a good idea to show where you can get the best iced coffees in Budapest as well.
Life goes on, even at 35 degrees Celsius. It is a hundred times harder to function and do our jobs in this unbearable heat. However, a daily dose of caffeine can always help, but the last thing we want is sitting next to is a steaming cup of hot coffee, right? That is exactly why mankind has invented iced coffee, and we will be forever grateful for that. Let’s see a couple of places where you can have a nice and reasonably priced iced coffee in Budapest.

If you are on a budget, the cheapest (but still good quality!) places I would recommend are McCafé and Café Frei, both of which have many locations all over Budapest.
McCafé
Some might argue, but I believe that McCafé is way underrated. I think their coffee is good and reasonably priced. The service is always fast, and they also have a nice selection of drinks. I always order their iced coffee without syrup, and it has never let me down. You can also have iced mocha or frappe. I strongly recommend trying their profiterole with your coffee, but be aware: it is addictive!
Café Frei
What I really like about Café Frei is that they have a HUGE selection. This is also true for their cold drinks. The café offers 11 different types of iced coffees. Prices can range, but these goodies cost around HUF 600 on average, which is a really good price for a quality drink.

You can have a frappe, an iced cappuccino or iced latte, and there are drinks with or without ice cream. I still have to work my way through the entire cold coffee selection, but so far my personal favourite is the Hollywood Coconut Latte, but the Bavarian iced coffee is really delicious too.
