Emirates recruits Hungarian cabin crew members – Great salary with many benefits
Emirates is currently recruiting Hungarian cabin crew members, Pénzcentrum.hu reports. The international airline organises Open Days in Budapest and Pécs to search for potential candidates. They offer an EUR 2,100 salary with many benefits.
Emirates organises Open Days in Budapest (at the Marriott Hotel at 8 a.m.) on 25 September, and in Pécs (at Laterum Hotel at 8 a.m.) on 27 September. There is no registration, but potential candidates need to have a photo and an updated English CV on them.
The international company wants to recruit enthusiastic Hungarians who aspire to become flight attendants. Besides the high salary, the company offers many benefits to its employees.
According to their website, the employees of Emirates enjoy numerous benefits, such as
layover expenses (e.g. meal allowances, hotel accommodations and transport to and from the airports), concessional travel, free furnished accommodation in Dubai with TV and internet (where even your visitors can stay twice a year for 30 days).
The offer might be tempting to a lot of people. However, Emirates has a quite strict selection process.
For example, each candidate has to meet certain physical conditions:
- At least 21 years of age at the time of joining
- Arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes
- Minimum height of 160 cm
- No visible tattoos while being in Emirates cabin crew uniform (cosmetic and bandage coverings are not allowed)
- Physically fit with a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI)
Vanda Vas, currently working as a flight attendant at Emirates, shared many tips with Pénzcentrum on how to prepare for an interview with Emirates.
She has been working for Emirates for five years.
She mentions that it is important to check out the physical conditions to be met first, because if a candidate does not fulfil all of the conditions, his/her application will be rejected immediately. Candidates also need to be prepared for the really intense training they will need to go through.
She also emphasised that a good knowledge of English is extremely important because the cabin crew needs to be able to communicate fluently and to the point. Candidates will need excellent communication skills to be accepted.
Vanda also warns everyone that potential candidates need to be ready to change their whole lives, because when you become an Emirates flight attendant, and you move to Dubai, travelling becomes an integral part of both your work and life.
