Festive fireworks in Budapest on August 20, 2015

The inevitable element of the August 20 Budapest events is the evening fireworks, which attract hundreds of thousands of people, zene.hu said.

The light show traditionally begins at 21 o’clock in the evening. The most perfect sight is from the area between Garibaldi Street and Balna Center (Id. The view will be provided by more than 3 thousand bombs, nearly 1400 Roman candles and 200 fireworks sites. The more than 10 thousand effects will be activated by 5000 electric lighters. In one week, 7 tons of pyrotechnic products and 30 km electric cables will be installed with the cooperation of 40 people, zene.hu said.

It’s a novelty that the Danube launch points will be ensured by the Hungarian Army, using its own resources, because pyrotechnic materials’ stable basis will be placed not onto barges, but military pontoons. The so-called river bridge ferries will be ensured by the MH 37 II. Rakoczi Engineering Regiment, and the MH Army bomb squad and Warship Regiment will also be participating in the fixing.

Professionals of Petofi Radio make sure the compilation of the fireworks’ musical composition. Director of the radio, Attila “Izil” Borcsik  put together a mix, where we, besides the classical and modern melodies,  can hear poem parts as well.

The fireworks music will be broadcasted by Petofi Radio, and the whole fireworks will be broadcasted by M1 and Duna TV.
