The capital provides more and more opportunities for ice skating every year, which is good for families and couples as well if they want to spend some quality time together. However, you had better not go there during the rush hours.

1. Advent at the Saint Stephen’s Basilica
Let’s slide into the Christmas mood at Saint Stephen’s Basilica and drink a hot chocolate with the kids afterwards.

2. Ice Skating Rink, Óbuda, Main Square
The rink is open as a part of the Advent in Óbuda program series, together with concerts, puppet shows, handicraft and cookie making sessions. You can rent ice skates there.

3. Müpa Ice Skating Rink
The rink has opened in the third consecutive year, and it is open from 2nd December 2018 until 27th January 2019.

5. Advent and Ice Skating Concourse, Zugló
The ice skating rink is next to the Roman Catholic Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, as a part of the local Advent fair. It is only available for student groups between 8:00 and 15:00 on school days, but it is open to everyone from 16:00.

Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 – 20:00

6. Ice Skating Rink, Soroksár
The rink is almost 400m2 and completely free of charge. Gloves and caps are obligatory. You can rent skates in almost every sizes, from 28-50.

15:00 – 20:00 for everyone
Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 – 22:00
