Migrants damage scheduled bus in Roszke – PHOTOS
Budapest, September 5 (MTI) – Migrants trying to stop a scheduled long-distance bus damaged the vehicle in Roszke, on the Hungary-Serbia border, on Saturday afternoon.
Citing a witness who travelled on the bus, MTI’s correspondent said a few men tried to stop the bus at a collection point. One of them lay down on the road in front of the bus and when the vehicle stopped, one of them hit the windscreen with his fist, apparently cracking it all the way across, though a report suggests the top of the windscreen also appeared to have been hit by a rock.
Police are holding an on-site inspection of the vehicle at the side of the road. When the next bus passed by, police lined up between the road and the waiting migrants, with one of the policemen holding a teargas grenade, MTI’s correspondent said.
