Forbes: The five best and most valuable Hungarian athletes in 2019
It is the fifth time that Forbes Hungary revealed its list of the most prominent and valuable Hungarian sportswomen and sportsmen in 2019 and the fifth time that Katinka Hosszú took the list’s first place.
Forbes reported that although Katinka Hosszú has gone through many changes in her life in the past months her first place cannot be taken from her and her problems and struggles in her private life have not affected her reputation and achievements.
Since 2015, Hosszú has been the first on the list, but there have been many changes on the second and third place as well.
While four years ago Hungarian swimmer Dániel Gyurta followed Hosszú, now the second place is Márton Fucsovics’s (tennis player). Although he got the prominent second place, he failed in getting closer to Hosszú’s first place, like Norbert Michelisz (racing driver) last year or Áron Szilágyi (fencer) two years ago.
The third place is taken by Danuta Kozák who returned to canoeing last year after childbirth. Considering the list of 2018, she is the only one who jumped the most places forward on the list.
The fourth place is taken by Norbert Michelisz and the fifth by Tímes Babos (tennis player).
