The repavement of the Hungaroring is about to begin

The Hungaroring is going to be repaved and will get new kerbs as well. The stand, the main building, and the pit lane is going to be demolished – the whole project will approximately cost 25 billion HUF, and will be covered by the companies own resources.
The preparations to replace the 4.3 km long surface course of the Hungaroring has begun – the track is going to be repaved and will have new kerbs. The cost of the whole project is 750 million HUF, which will be covered by the companies own resources, chairman-CEO of the Hungaroring Zrt. told Világgazdaság, writes hvg.hu.
According to Zsolt Gyulay, it is time to rebuild the whole establishment – the stand, the main building, and the pit lane as well, because studies made by the company suggest that it is more practical to rebuild it rather than to renovate it. As part of the rebuilding project, the public utilities will be modernized, and a new motorized visitor centre will be built together with a new access control system.
