A paramedic was stabbed on Tuesday morning in Nagyvarad Square by a man he was attempting to help. The suspect was arrested on the spot.
According to the National Ambulance Service’s Facebook page the paramedic was stabbed in the stomach. He underwent surgery afterwards, according to origo.hu. His injuries were reportedly not life threatening.
Budapest Police said they were informed of the attack shortly before 9 a.m. and that the attacker was caught shortly afterwards.
