According to mfor.hu, the international interest for Budapest as a conference site has been significant: the aim of the negotiations on the trade fairs is that Hungary hosts more business events in the 2016-2020 period – Hungarian Tourism Zrt. (MT) said.
According to the information, MT Zrt. participated in Europe’s one of the most significant business tourism fair this year again, in the EIBTM exhibition in Barcelona between November 17 and 19, where some 3000 exhibitors of 150 countries presented themselves to the experts.
As it was written, on the basis of professional discussions, the again-growing interest of the business event organizers towards Hungary is perceived. In addition, the endeavor to organize larger conferences in new locations is emphasized.
MT Zrt. aims to make specific deals, to bring events to Hungary for the 2016-2020 period. At the conferences, the tendering is already underway for the 2018-2022 period, and on the basis of the feedbacks, Hungary remains a trendy venue – they said.
The company will soon announce its 2016 marketing plan, including the new embassy project which is based on regional approach. The point is that MT Zrt. extends the activities of the existing diplomatic missions in the region with similar cultural traits and attitudes. For example, Portugal also appears through the Spanish embassy, where increasing interest can be observed towards Hungary. They note: it is a competitive advantage that the country represent itself at an appropriate level in the touristic sending countries which get less attention from other destinations, mfor.hu wrote.
MT Zrt.’s congressional office represented the business tourism supply of Hungary at the Barcelona exhibition, in collaboration with 24 co-exhibitors – 10 agencies, 9 hotels, event venues and other service providers. Among the partners, Hungexp o, which is currently the largest company offering conference venue in the Hungarian event market, is also among the partners.
