Hungary October trade surplus revised down to EUR 479 m
Hungary’s October trade surplus was revised down to 479 million euros in a second reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Monday.
In the first reading, published on December 9, KSH had put the October surplus at 514 million euros.
Revised figures show imports rose by an annual 4.1 percent in value terms to 9.616 billion euros. Exports were up 6.8 percent at 10.09 billion euros.
In volume terms imports rose by 7.1 percent and exports rose by an annual 8.0 percent.
Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 80 percent of Hungary’s exports and 74 percent of imports.
In January-October Hungary’s trade surplus reached 4.366 billion euros, down from 4.698 billion euros on the same period a year earlier.
