According to origo.hu, more than 18 thousand people visited the doctors with flu-like symptoms last week. The National Epidemiology Center reported that an outbreak has started.
The report of the organization said that 18 200 people – 69% more than last week – went to doctors with flu-like symptoms.
The number of patients – per one thousand inhabitants – was the highest in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Pest counties, while the lowest rate occurred in Tolna and Veszprém counties.
There was an increase in the proportion of children who visited doctors, compared to the previous week. More than half of the patients of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Nógrád and Tolna counties were under 15. 34% were between 15 and 34 years, 23% between 35 and 59 years and nearly 9% of the people were over 60, origo.hu wrote.
