Police closed 9 nightclubs in Budapest due to the violation of safety rules -VIDEO
On Saturday night, a huge police raid has been carried out in the downtown of Budapest, within the framework of which police checked whether nightclubs complied with the protection measures introduced against the spread of the pandemic. As a result of the infringements, a total of 9 business premises were closed for two weeks.
During the police raid, not only nightclubs but guests were also checked. For violation of the masking rules, on-site penalties were imposed against 38 people, and 11 infringement proceedings were initiated.
As a result of the check-up, a total of 9 business premises have been closed for two weeks in the 5th and 6th districts of Budapest.
As the Hungarian news portal Origo reports, the number of infected people is continually increasing throughout Europe – including the neighbouring countries and Hungary as well – and more and more people require hospital care. The pandemic cannot be stopped; the goal now is to slow down the virus.
In this period, there is a huge individual responsibility; it is in everyone’s interest to follow the rules.
As we reported on Monday, in order to further strengthen the fight against the pandemic, the Hungarian government declared a state of emergency. The freshly introduced safety measures include:
- Curfew between 8 pm and 5 am, except for those with work-related purposes (proof should be provided)
- Closure of restaurants, only delivery is allowed
- Closure of leisure facilities, including zoos, museums, theatres, gyms and indoor swimming pools
- Gatherings are forbidden
- Sports events can be held behind closed gates
- Online education in all the high schools and universities
- Hotels are available only for business travellers
- The list of measures can be read here.
