Hungary seeks ties to help its talents in Silicon Valley
Washington, DC, March 24 (MTI) – Hungary is on a mission to build relations with California in a bid to help Hungarian talents find cooperation opportunities in one of the world’s major innovation hubs, the foreign ministry’s state secretary said, after his talks in cities in that state.
Levente Magyar, who is in charge of international economic ties, told MTI that he held related talks with local leaders in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Long Beach this week who welcomed the Hungarian initiative.
It is important to seek out these opportunities because the high-tech companies in Silicon Valley are paying little attention to Europe, Magyar said.
“Our aim is to build forms of cooperation that can only be found in Silicon Valley to help Hungarian talents develop their innovative ideas using local infrastructure,” he said.
Magyar will hold talks with leaders of a major US real estate company and give a talk at a business forum in Aspen, Colorado, on Thursday.
