Thousands of Hungarians cannot get immunity certificate in Austria
Hungary’s western neighbour has announced that only those vaccinated with western vaccines can apply for an immunity certificate. Anyone who has been inoculated with the Chinese Sinopharm or the Russian Sputnik V vaccines are not entitled to get a green card in Austria. The regulation affects hundreds of thousands of Hungarians.
As the Austrian news portal Kleinezeitung reports, the Ministry of Health has indicated that only vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency will be accepted in Austria.
Accordingly, only those people are entitled to get the Austrian immunity certificate who have been vaccinated with Pfizer-Biontech, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
Those who have been inoculated with these vaccines are allowed to go to the local cafés, restaurants, hotels and beaches. However, there are different rules for those who have chosen the Chinese Sinopharm or Russian Sputnik V vaccines.
In their case, a negative test is mandatory in order to visit any of the above places in the country.
As the Hungarian news portal Pénzcentrum reports, the freshly introduced regulation on the Austrian immunity certificate affects hundreds of thousands of Hungarians who have been inoculated with Sinopharm or Sputnik V vaccines.
As an explanation, Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein explained that he would not recommend revaccination to those who had received an Eastern vaccine because there was not enough scientific data on the health effects of revaccination. So, for the time being, they also have to prove their immunity with a negative test if they want to go to a restaurant, café or use any other services in Austria.

Hungarians – keep watching this space.
Austria have begun the ball rolling that will be the big picture – setting a precedent – in the European Union member countries and the wider world.
Russian & Chinese vaccines – the “holier than though” – blitzkrieg – steaming ahead attitude of the Hungarian Government – in it’s use – to millions of Hungary’s citizens, of the Russian & Chinese vaccine conglomerations, they have a deepening citizen mounting unrest problem – to satisfy and answer – what does the future hold for those of us Hungarians that want to move freely in and out of Hungary or wherever in the World.
This will be a deepening Diplomatic problem for Hungary which will follow the course of the past of not winning friends but cause on-going division and fragmentation in the European Union and wider Europe and the World.
PROBLEM : the European Commission / Parliament will not ‘recognise’ Russian and Chinese vaccinations for its COVID-19 ‘certificate’ and is instructing various ‘subservient countries’ to act accordingly, which includes not accepting the Hungarian ‘immunity card’.
SOLUTION : Hungary must not support the E.U. COVID-19 ‘certificate’ until it includes Russian and Chinese vaccines. Without full agreement from Hungary, any ‘certificate’ planned by the E.U. will be not proceed beyond the ‘planning phase’.
The left-wing bureaucrats in Brussels – and their Marxist / Socialist political minders – can ‘go to hell’.
Alfred is once again spouting nonsense. The Digital Green Certificate will cover three types of certificates –vaccination certificates, test certificates (NAAT/RT-PCR test or a rapid antigen test), and certificates for persons who have recovered from COVID-19. Some residents in Hungary have received vaccines that have been approved by the EMA and can use proof of that to obtain an EU certificate. Others who have had the virus and have medical proof do not need a vaccination. Others who have had an unapproved vaccine need to provide a negative test. No one is excluded so the Hungarian government has no reason to block it (and in any case if the EU use QVM could not). Goodnight Alfred.
