Hungary to build Catholic youth camp in C Romania for 1.279 m EUR
The Hungarian government will contribute a total of 455 million forints (EUR 1.3m) to the establishment of a Catholic youth camp in Baile Selters (SzelterszfürdÅ‘) in central Romania’s Harghita County.
Â
Speaking to Hungarian public media at the campsite’s inauguration, Miklós Soltész, the state secretary for church and ethnic relations of the Prime Minister’s Office, said the government was supporting the construction of the camp to
help foster the communities that can help preserve the Hungarian nation.
He encouraged the young people gathered in front of the camp to stand up for their beliefs and values, “and for those who can’t speak out for themselves”.
Â
Construction on the camp’s common room, chapel and main building
capable of housing 50 people began in the spring.
The camp will serve as a venue for the archdiocese’s youth organisation to organise events, training programmes and camps, and as a place of retreat for the archdiocese’s pastoral groups and spiritual communities.
Hungary’s government has so far contributed 150 million forints to the camp’s construction and has allocated a further 305 million forints for its completion.

The government is being very generous with taxpayers / EU money, funding an indoctrination camp in a foreign country.
