Budapest’s Bosnyák square will be renewed by Zaha Hadid
Interesting and spectacular pictures of the reconstruction of one of the busiest squares of Budapest came to light. The images can be linked to the world-famous architectural firm, Zaha Hadid Architects.
According to the developer’s website, the complex in the centre of Bosnyák square can be completed in six steps. The investment will be implanted on an area of 6.7 hectares behind Bosnyák square. Bosnyák square is one of the major areas of the 14th district of Budapest. The investment offers many opportunities for the residents of both the district and the Hungarian capital. The goal of the developer is to create a world-famous office. In doing so, they try to define the image of the area.
Filling a new city centre is one of the main goals.
This includes many business opportunities. “We are planning a city in the city, a meeting place with identity, diversity, an internal promenade protected from the noise of the city. The services and commercial functions are located along the busy Csömöri road, and the residential area is located in the quieter Bosnyák street,” according to Bayer Property’s website.
Previously, there was a similar plan, but then the construction authority prevented the plans, writes epiteszforum.hu. The status of the project is currently under planning, so previous visual designs are subject to change.
A building complex consisting of a hotel, a condominium and a casino is being built on the banks of the Danube.
During the investment of Market Építő Zrt., BDPST Group and Cretum, the protected parts of several listed buildings will be preserved, writes magyarepitök.hu. Hotel Dorothea is located in the 5th district of Budapest, near Vörösmarty square and Vigadó. The architectural design of the plan and the interior design will be done by the Italian Lisson & Partners. As a first step, the necessary demolition work was carried out. They then built the cellar to a depth of 15 metres.
Construction has many challenges.
The contractor connects buildings from three different architectural eras. The existing buildings were built 10-20 years apart, resulting in different structural designs. Thus, the restoration and conversion works must conform to the structure of the particular building.
