Hungarian talent in Verstappen’s former team!

Max Verstappen is a Belgian-Dutch racing driver and the winner of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. By winning the championship, he became the first Dutch driver to win the F1 World Championship.

Now, a Hungarian talent, Levente Révész, has joined Van Amersfoort Racing, the F3 team Verstappen was a part of from 2014. The Dutch driver competed in the now-defunct Formula-3 European Championship in 2014 where he went straight to the top.

The European Formula Regional Championship started in 2019, and so far, no one has made it to Formula 1.

This year, Révész was racing in the Italian F4, competing against big names like Sebastian Montoya and Charlie Wurz.

He took part in all 21 races, and his best result was 9th place in Vallelunga, Sweden.

As formulascout.com said, Révész will be competing in the Asian Formula Regional Championship with Evans GP this winter. He had the chance to test with Arden before joining Van Amersfoort Racing where Max Verstappen also raced in F3. The young Hungarian will be partnered with the Dutch Kas Haverkort.

Before 16-year-old Révész switched to single-seat racing cars, he drove go-carts until 2020. Next year, he will start competing as early as January and February when the Asian F3 championship starts.

“I have to improve extremely fast,” said Révész. “I’ve only done one full season in Formula 4, and I need to move on to the next phase. It’s an incredible feeling to drive these cars, which feel so different than the F4 cars,”

said the young Hungarian talent.
